.. The above stuff was automated. Now we get into me and my heartfelt message <3
First thing's first, I'm Damien Tsuua aka your new owner. You should get to know me though, I'm a nice guy bby
If you've never been on a forum or forum-like website before, here's the basic rundown:
On the front page, find a topic you like which will be in the blue box at the top of a rectangle, signifying a category. The category is split into different subjects, known as "Boards". The Boards will have blue titles you can click on, and under the name there's a brief description. Once you get to the board, there will be yet another split into subjects known as "threads". Click on the individual threads, and you will see the original post along with all the discussion about it. In the top right in the same square as the original post, there will be a button called "Reply". This is how you can comment about the specific thread, and another way to comment is via "Quick Reply" which is a box at the bottom of the page. If you need to edit a post you have made, there will be a gear with a drop bar in the top right of your reply's box. You can delete your post like this. Next to the gear box, there is also an "Edit" button where you can make changes and revisions to a post.
Next, there is navigation. At the top of the page under the "Lounge Master" banner, you'll see a stretched bar that shows how deep you are in the board. For me, it shows up as "Lounge Master > ... > Welcome to your new forum! > Edit thread". To the right is deeper subjects, and to the left is higher ones. If you need to change the board you are on quickly, then hover over the "Lounge Master" bar and it will show a drop bar of all the categories. The bolded one is the one you are currently browsing. From there, you can simply click on the title of your target category or scroll over it to select specific boards. That way, site navigation is sweet and simple.
Finally, there's some other minor things like the lingo here. Common abbreviations are OP (original poster, who posted the thread) and ITT (in this thread, usually denoting what the thread is about i.e. "ITT doge"). Also, when browsing a board, there is a "Board Sticky". This is where you talk about the board as a whole, and make suggestions about it. If you want to make a suggestion about the whole site, then there is a Sticky in General Discussion.
On a side note, I suggest you customize your account. At the top of the page, you should see "Profile" as one of the categories under the Lounge Master title. There, you can look in the top right corner and select "Edit Profile" to put up information. If you don't want a specific fact about you known, such as your confidential birth date, then just don't put it up. You can edit your avatar through the Avatar tab. You can upload a personal file, but if it isn't accepting your file for some reason then upload it to imgur to copy a URL. Another neat thing to have is in the Personal tab, and that's to have a signature. Basically this is a witty or funny phrase that goes under all of your posts, so make it a good one.
---
This ends the tutorial. If you need me to make adjustments or additions, post a reply here. It'll give you good practice. Remember, this isn't the place for site suggestions, that's where the Board Sticky in General Discussion comes in handy.
