Now, I'd rather only atheists or agnostics post in the thread so we can prevent a religion clash, but I can't tell all of you what to do. Anyhow, I've been pondering what happens after death. I guess a good way to start is to describe what "life" is, and I always describe it as a collection of energy. Like how the universe and everything in it is made of energy, we are just unique bundles of that energy that is able to recognize itself and view its world. So in death does that energy just disband? And if all of that energy comes together in the exact same way in a billion years, would it really be you? Or would you not remember your past life, and count as a whole different person?
ITT talk about your views on death, critique my views, add, whatever. And if anybody wants to describe what their religion does, I'm cool with that, just don't argue with them to the point of derailing the thread. Respect everybody and their opinions, don't force them to change.
